あのお。。。なんですか!

 えいと。。。きせいちゅう。

Ever since we talked about pinworms in middle school health class, I have been fascinated with parasites.  I like the noodle-looking ones the best which is a shame because after watching so many youtube videos it makes eating noodles a bit mentally and physically challenging. The first thing I told my sister to do when she got to Tokyo was check out the Meguro Parasitological Museum. I think it's the only public parasite museum in the world.  I wonder if more Japanese people have parasites on the brain (figuratively and literally?--haha) than Americans considering an average person's intake of raw fish, and the fact that those udon noodles do look a lot like cestodes. Anyway, my sister liked the museum, and if you want to go, here is some helpful information.

  1. If I'm ever in Japan, I'll probably try my best to avoid this place. Parasites aren't my thing... Also, I ate noodles today. :(

Have you ever seen the vampire finch? It's a bird that feeds on the blood of other birds. Youtube it if you feel up to it.
